A special two-part presentation drawn from the personal letters and journal entries of Robert Falcon Scott and his wife, the sculptor, Kathleen Bruce.

The reading coincides with a major commemorative event, Oamaru Scott 100, a series of events and performances in Oamaru from 6 to 10 February to mark the centenary of the arrival back from Antarctica of Scott’s ship the Terra Nova and the telegraphing to the world the news of Scott's death.

His wife, Kathleen, was on board another ship and heading for New Zealand to meet Scott when she received the news. This two part presentation focuses on their relationship and on Kathleen herself.

Kathleen’s Antarctica features Miranda Harcourt as Kathleen and Owen Scott as Robert Falcon “Con” Scott.
