Summer Fruit Chutney
Ingredients
- 1 kg pitted plums (or other stone fruit)
 - 200 gms cooking or Granny Smith apples (peeled and diced)
 - 200gms brown onions (peeled and diced)
 - 1 Tbsp root ginger (grated)
 - 2 Tbsp mustard powder
 - 1 tsp salt
 - 2 star anise
 - 375 gms white sugar
 - 225 malt vinegar
 
Method
Combine all ingredients in a heavy based stainless steel pot and boil for approximately 1/2 an hour or until thick.
Keep stirring to prevent the chutney for sticking to the bottom of the pan.
