Smoked Pears with Cinnamon Cream

This is a delicious way to enjoy winter pears!

Serves 4


Cinnamon Cream

  • 150ml cream
  • 2 tablespoons icing sugar
  • pinch ground cinnamon
  • 2 drops vanilla essence

Preheat the oven to 160ºC.

Bake the pears until soft, 30–40 minutes. Test with a small knife – there should be no resistance.

For the Cinnamon Cream

Place the cream in a bowl with the sugar, cinnamon and vanilla essence. Whip until soft peaks form.

Place the pears on a large serving tray, and using a hot spoon dollop cream onto each pear.

Serve immediately.
