One Pot Sausage and Mash

(Serves 2 hungry campers)


  • 1 pkt spring vegetable soup (or 2 pkts cup-a-soup)
  • 1 or 2 sausages, roughly sliced (eg,cured bratwurst or regular pre-cooked pork snarlers)
  • instant mashed potato flakes (approx 1.5 cups)
  • salt and pepper


Make up soup according to instructions on pack. As it starts to simmer add slices of sausage and continue to simmer until dried vegetables are sufficiently swollen for your taste.

Thicken the soup with instant mashed potato flakes until the desired consistency is reached.

Check seasoning.
