A top policeman who stole methamphetamine from the Whangarei police station and supplied it to a dealer has pleaded guilty to drugs charges. Veteran officer Mike Blowers, who headed Northland's organised crime unit, changed his plea this morning during his High Court trial, with the judge saying he can expect to be sent to prison. Blowers' lawyer, Arthur Fairley, spoke to reporters outside the court about the u-turn.
