Writer/Director: Grace Hood-Edwards
Grace is a writer, director, actor and editor with a Masters in Screen Production, specialising in Directing, from the University of Auckland. During her degree, she earned a Master of Arts Thesis Scholarship for the development of her Masters Thesis film FOAM, and upon completion of her Masters earned First Class Honours as well as the 2019 Geoff Evans Prize for Excellence in Screen Production. She has produced a select number of short films and theatrical productions.
She works as a freelancer writer and film crew member, working on a variety of international and local features, TV shows, commercials and music videos. She has previous experience as an assistant at a production house, an intern for Show Me Shorts Film Festival and as a sub-editor for two literary magazines.
When not producing personal work, she specialises as a Script Supervisor, most recently working on the second season of TV3’s Golden Boy and was recently hired as the Script Supervisor for BBC’s Mystic. Alongside her crew work, Grace is currently developing two personal projects which she hopes to release soon. As an artist, Grace is passionate about female-driven stories, body diversity and the fantastical.

Elana graduated with a BA in English and Anthropology from the University of Auckland in 2014. In 2015, she completed an Honours degree in Screen Production with a specialisation in script writing.
Finding a passion for filmmaking, she has worked on Friday Night Bites, as well as writing, directing and producing short films such as The Tooth Fairy, The Dinner and Mr. Whippy.
Elana and Ruth Mckenna co-created All Bi Myself for Elana’s Master’s project. Elana has continued working in television, primarily on reality shows such as My Kitchen Rules, The Block: NZ, and What Now. She also has worked for NZME for multiple years.
Elana is currently developing two screenplays. Elana and Grace have been working together for nearly two years as a producer-director team, where they find their creative vision, work ethic, and vision for the film industry align.
