The Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea has been suspended from office for two weeks after being found guilty of 13 charges of misconduct.

Sir Michael Somare was suspended by a leadership tribunal in Port Moresby after a two-week hearing on his failure to lodge financial returns dating as far back as 20 years ago.

Tribunal chair Roger Gyles says Sir Michael's suspension starts on 4 April.
