The Australian Crime Commission has dropped its criminal investigation into the actor Paul Hogan.
Hogan was recently prevented from leaving Australia because of alleged unpaid taxes.
He has been under investigation since 2005 but no tax-related charges have ever been laid.
The commission now says the investigation is no longer in the public interest and there are "insufficient prospects of securing a conviction".
