A magnitude 7.0 earthquake has occurred in Papua New Guinea.
The US Geological Survey said it was recorded at 9.01am on Thursday on New Britain island, 145km east of Kandrain and 81km deep.
The Pacific Tsunami Center says no tsunami warning was triggered.
