A suicide bomber killed at least 30 people and wounded 28 others at a coffee shop in the town of Kirkuk in northern Iraq on Friday.

The blast occurred as people gathered after breaking their fast for the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

No one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack. Kirkuk is 250km from Baghdad.

At least 44 people were killed by bombs and guns across Iraq on Thursday evening.

The death toll later rose to 66, and a car bomb at a mosque in Dujail, 50km north of Baghdad, brought the number of people killed to 76.
