Confusion surrounds a reported bid by a South African consortium to buy the English football club Newcastle United.
Scotland-born businessman Jonathan Cleland, who heads the consortium, claims to have held talks with Kevin Keegan about reinstalling him at St James Park, should the take over succeed.
But a man linked with that bid, South African billionaire Johann Rupert, says he has no knowledge of it and has never met Mr Cleland.
He says he wonders if anything being said is true.
