Team New Zealand has finished second at the Extreme Sailing Series regatta in Muscat.
Dean Barker and crew took two race wins and a third to overhaul Swiss syndicate Alinghi and move up to second overall, behind the winners, local entry The Wave, after four days of competition.
Saturday's racing was all about brute power and strength, requiring a huge shift in mindset for the teams, who have raced in light breeze all week.
After two regattas of the 2014 season, Team New Zealand is third overall.
The next regatta is in Quingdao, China, from May the 1st to the 4th. Peter Burling will take the helm and Blair Tuke will trim.
