The Silver Ferns warmed up for another titanic contest with Australia with a 36-goal win over South Africa in netballs' quad series competition yesterday in Adelaide.

The world number two put on a clinical performance as they stormed to a 63-27 victory, despite captain Casey Williams and ace shooter Irene van Dyk spending the first half on the bench.

Van Dyk hit a perfect 28 goals from 28 shots, but defender Katrina Grant was named player of the match.

New Zealand next play England, who were earlier outclassed by Australia, on Wednesday in Newcastle before Sunday's big match against Australia.
