Two men have been arrested following an armed offenders callout in Invercargill on Tuesday.
Police were called to an address in the city about 1.30pm after reports that windows at a flat had been smashed and shots fired.
Police stopped a vehicle leaving the property and arrested two people.
One of the occupants is being treated at Southland Hospital for an injured hand after he allegedly smashed windows at the flat.
The other man was charged with breaching bail conditions and will appear in court on Wednesday.
Despite searching several properties, police say they did not find any firearms
