A man has fallen to his death on a motorway in Wellington.
Police say he had climbed along a large concrete beam above the motorway near Buller Street and fell onto a northbound lane.
The incident occurred just before midnight on Wednesday. State Highway 1 was closed for 90 minutes.
Police say there are no suspicious circumstances and the matter will be referred to the Coroner.
