Police are investigating the alleged drugging and raping of a 14-year-old girl in Northland.

The incident took place in Kohukohu, but the police could not say when it happened.
No further details were available at this time, they said.
The settlement, about 60km south-east of Kaitaia, is home to about 165 people and sits on the north side of the Hokianga Harbour.
