Police in Lower Hutt and Tauranga are searching for armed offenders after a petrol station was robbed at knife point in Lower Hutt and a pizza delivery man at gunpoint in Tauranga.
In the Lower Hutt incident, the two offenders - one armed with a large knife - threatened the sole attendant at the Caltex Service Station on Railway Avenue at 9.30pm yesterday.
They ran off with an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes, before getting into a dark-coloured sedan and driving off.
The store attendant was not injured during the robbery.
In Tauranga, police were called to an address in Parkvale after a Pizza delivery worker was robbed of $23 worth of food by a man armed with a gun.
The pizza had been ordered by phone and the robbery happened as the order was delivered.
A man his 20s has been arrested.
