An Auckland police officer has resigned and another is suspended on full pay after an investigation into alleged inappropriate behaviour.
Police are continuing to investigate the alleged incident at the Auckland Central Police Station.
The New Zealand Herald is reporting the officers are alleged to have filmed themselves in a sex act at Auckland Central Police Station and to have sent the film to a colleague, inviting her to join them. But the police will not confirm the newspaper report.
Auckland City District Commander Superintendent Mike Clement said an investigation started in early March.
Both officers were stood down immediately from duty, then suspended on full pay. Mr Clement said one of the staff members had since resigned.
Police say a professional misconduct investigation is continuing.
