The High Court has confirmed the retrial of Mark Lundy will take place in Wellington in June next year.
It was ordered by the Privy Council in London in October, after the court quashed his previous conviction for the murders of his wife Christine and daughter Amber in August 2000.
Matters relating to the Lundy case were discussed at a callover hearing in the High Court in Wellington on Monday morning.
In a minute issued in the afternoon, Justice Ron Young set the trial date of 9 June 2014 and indicated that it is likely to run for about eight weeks.
The judge set a timetable for issues leading up to the trial, including that the Crown provide a draft list of witnesses and exhibits by the end of January.
Further pre-trial hearings will take place early next year.
Mark Lundy was granted bail in October, but details of where he is living are suppressed.
