Rural insurer FMG has received 900 claims from this week's storm and expects the number to swell to more than 1000 by the end of Friday.
insurance general manager Conrad Wilkshire told Morning Report he expects a total of $10 million in claims, with irrigation claims alone costing $5 million.
He said FMG has these costs covered because it made provision for events such as Tuesday's storm.
