Episode 232 features bluesman Robert Johnson, celebrating his musical legacy that went on to shape the future of rock’n’roll. Born in May 1911, Johnson's entire output was recorded over a period of five days at two makeshift recording studios in Texas. A total of 59 performances, including alternate takes, were recorded. Over the years the intrigue surrounding Johnson’s  short life and death have made for a unique musical history. Last year, a new book: "Brother Robert: Growing Up With Robert Johnson" was published … It’s an intimate memoir as told by Robert Johnson's stepsister, Annye Anderson (aged 94) and written by music historian Preston Lauterbach
