Episode 217 features an interview with Yasmin Levy who played Womad 2007 and was considered one of the Festival highlights. Yasmin is the daughter of Isaac Levy, who dedicated his life to rescuing forgotten Sephardic music, a mission Yasmin has inherited. Born in Jerusalem Yasmin performs Ladino songs in the original Ladino language - a near extinct language dating back to the 15th Century.
