Prof. Dame Ann Salmond traces over two hundred years of New Zealand history, including early contact between Maori and European, and the story of the Treaty of Waitangi. She goes on to survey the Land Wars, the collapse of the Maori population during the 1880s, and the resurgence of Maori culture during the twentieth century.
