Garibaldi Did Not Sleep Here by Paul Horan - Part 6
At last Paul reaches Rome and is astonished at the sense of the layering of history in the city. He is not as enthusiastic about Rome as he is about Naples but admits it to be a truly 'important world city'. He is also surprised at how he is affected by a visit to the Vatican being, as he is, a lapsed Catholic.
