The Panel with Nicky Pellegrino and Peter Elliot (Part 1)

From The Panel, 4:03 pm on 27 January 2021

New Zealand's first Covid-19 vaccine - Pfizer-BioNTech's Covid jab - could be approved in just over a week. Associate Professor Jo Kirman, Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Otago, Dunedin, joins The Panel to discuss how the vaccine works. Multimillionare Auckland landlord Ron Goodwin says the suggestion that tenants could paint one of his rental properties "makes my blood boil". The Panel speaks to Geordie Rogers, a spokesperson for Renters' United, for a renter's perspective on the issue. Up to 10 percent of people say they would not be vaccinated, as New Zealand prepares to rollout the largest immunisation campaign in its history to protect against Covd-19. But could employers make vaccination compulsory? The Panel speaks to Susan Hornsby Geluk, a partner at Dundas Street Employment Lawyers.
