Secondary school students received their NCEA results today, after a school year disrupted by Covid-19. Claire Amos, the principal of Albany Senior High School in Auckland, joins The Panel to discuss the results she's seen and the outlook for the new school year. Despite a campaign encouraging New Zealanders to travel the country, they can't make up for a $6 billion dollar hole caused by the absence of international tourists this summer. The Panel speaks to Tourism Industry Aotearoa chief executive Chris Roberts. A new study has highlighted that up to 78% of beachgoers in Aotearoa are unable to spot rip currents (rips) in the surf. The Panel speaks to study author Dr Seb Pitman a senior lecturer in Physical Geography University of Canterbury.
