New Zealand's place in the world is increasingly threatened as the post-World War II international order collapses, according to new government briefings that paint a picture of a turbulent world.
As Stuff's Thomas Manch reports, the briefings are to new Cabinet ministers Cabinet written by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the Defence Force, the Security Intelligence Service and the Government Security Communications Bureau.
Professor of Politics and Director of International Studies at Otago University, Robert Patman, joins The Panel to discuss the picture painted by these briefings.
