Children to get measles immunisations earlier

From The Panel, 4:17 pm on 13 October 2020

From the 1st of October the measles, mumps and rubella or MMR vaccine was moved so that children receive their first immunisation at 12 months old, rather than at 15 months.

And the second vaccine was also moved, that is now given at 15 months instead of at 4 years.

It seems that message is not getting through to everyone, Stuff has spoken to several parents who were not aware of the changes.

Dr Nikki Turner, director of The Immunisation Advisory Centre, joins The Panel.
