The World Health Organisation has declared the coronavirus outbreak in China a public health emergency of international concern. WHO director-general announced the decision amid mounting evidence of the virus spread to some 18 countries. Professor David Murdoch, the co-leader of The Infection Group Otago University , fills us in on the latest information. And we talk to Sue Chetwin from Consumer NZ about if insurance will cover any cancelled travel plans. British citizens will no longer be EU citizens as of 11pm on 31st January, ending 47 years in the European Union. Dr Jeffrey McNeill spent several months working in the European Parliament in Brussels, coming to understand something of the complexity of the EU institutions.
