Cycling to work can help you live longer

Cycling to work could help you live longer a major study in the International Journal of Epidemiology has found. The study anyalsed the data from 3.4 million New Zealanders, and is one of the largest ever studies to examine the association between mode of travel to work and health outcomes. 

Lead researcher Dr Caroline Shaw said they studied 80 percent of the working population over a 15-year period, and results showed that people who biked to work had a 13 percent reduction in mortality.
