Many motorists unsure of laws around drinking and driving, research shows

From The Panel, 3:40 pm on 22 January 2020

New research out today shows that motorists display a large knowledge gap when it comes to the laws around drinking and driving. Nearly three quarters of people surveyed were confident they knew the rules, but just 20 percent knew the correct legal adult limit, and 20 percent still thought its was okay to have three drinks then drive.

An advocate from road safety group Brake, Caroline Perry, talks about why her organisation is lobbying for a zero alcohol limit for drivers to get rid of any ambiguity about how much you can drink if you're planning on driving.
