International community should act rapidly on Wuhan virus - professor

A new type of coronavirus virus that originated last month in Wuhan, China, has so far caused three deaths, and infected at least 200 people. China's National Health Commission has confirmed the virus, which is a type of pneumonia, can pass from human to human.

Associate Professor Adam Kamradt-Scott is an expert in the spread and control of infectious diseases at the Centre for International Security Studies at the University of Sydney. He says it provides further cause for the international community to act rapidly.
