Yesterday Newshub reported it has seen texts and Facebook messages between Government minister Kris Faafoi and Jason Kerrison, the lead singer of the band Opshop, whose stepfather's partnership visa application had been declined.
While we haven't seen the texts, Newshub alleges Mr Faafoi asked for details of the case and promised to "talk to the right people" on Kerrison's behalf.
