Treaty ripped from wall over councillor's comments

A copy of the Treaty of Waitangi has been ripped from the wall inside the Tauranga City Council chambers to make a statement about Maori being put down by a council representative. It stemmed from newly elected councillor Andrew Hollis' comments, including calling the Treaty a "joke" and labelling Ihumatao protesters "land grabbers."
