The Panel with Rodney Hide and Marami Stephens (Part 2)

From The Panel, 4:05 pm on 9 October 2019

What would YOU do with the $7.5 billion government surplus? Have you ever seen this on Facebook, someone posting "worst day, don't ask" or something along those lines? Or a paragraph about their feelings? It's called Sadfishing - an attempt to attract sympathy or get attention. And while the practice is under fire by some, one writer from the guardian says we shouldn't people opening up. Retirement commissioner Peter Cordtz joins the panel to discuss a novel idea to help safeguard the future of NZ Superannuation. It's proving more difficult than you might've thought to phase out plastic straws, with the alternatives prohibitively expensive and occasionally dangerous.
