The Panel with Peter Fa'afiu and Julia Hartley Moore (Part 1)

From The Panel, 4:03 pm on 19 September 2019

A third high court judge has found that Colin Craig did sexually harass his former press secretary Rachel MacGregor. This has been back and forth in court for years. This morning though Judge Hinton found that Mr Craig's letters to Ms MacGregor when he was her employer were "highly inappropriate". Auckland Mayoral candidate John Tamihere says that he doesn't regret his use of a Nazi slogan during a Mayoral Debate and that groups had no right to be his thought police. Tamihere said he used seig heil to illustrate that Phil Goff was acting like a dictator. We speak to RNZ's Tim Watkin about the campaign and this language. A union has called for businesses to be required by law to report on their gender pay gap. It comes after Westpac revealed a 30.3 per cent gender pay gap, despite efforts to increase the number of women in senior roles. We ask the panellists if they agree with the union.
