The Panel with Alexia Russell and Andrew Hoggard (Part 1)

From The Panel, 4:03 pm on 21 August 2019

The government is proposing a new, independent office to cost the policies of political parties. Eric Crampton, chief economist for the NZ Initiative, joins us with his take. The famed Ronnie Van Hout sculpture, "Quasi" - an enormous hand with a human face - has moved to Wellington, where it's aweing and terrifying locals. Former Christchurch Art Gallery curator Jenny Harper joins the panel to discuss the piece, and the point of public works of art. Australia is considering "added sugar" labelling for sugary drinks which would force manufacturers to acknowledge how much sugar, measured in teaspoons, on the drinks' labels.
