Wages are up and unemployment is down, but how long will it last? Figures show that the unemployment rate fell to a seasonaly adjusted 3.9 per cent in the June quarter, the lowest unemployment rate since mid 2008. And wages have also increased. Why is business confidence still down then? We ask economist Shamubell Eaqub. Earlier this week we talked about a well loved New Zealand fish Tarakihi. There's a proposal before Government to slash the amount of Tarakihi that commercial fishers are allowed to take. Seafood New Zealand dsiputes some of the points raised by Legasea so we talk to Dr Jeremy Helson, chief executive of Fisheries Inshore New Zealand, about their concerns.
