The Panel with Ella Henry and Ben Thomas (Part 2)

From The Panel, 4:05 pm on 5 August 2019

What do you think is the best/worst board game ever? Why? Guy Williams had a rant last week about how terrible Monopoly is as a game, and has since put his thoughts into an opinion piece on Stuff on why it is the worst. The panellists tell us what they think of the hugely popular game and what their favourite board games are. A 13-year-old boy is taking his school to court over their rules about hair length. Stuff reports James Hunt was stood down from Auckland Grammar for one day for refusing to cut his shoulder-length hair. The school has a rule that students' hair must be above the collar. We ask the panellists whether this is a worthy fight or if they think James should just follow the rules. A pharmacist has warned about the danger of natural products and health foods. In Stuff today Andrew Brown says Kiwis often think natural products are safer and healthier than anything synthetic but the truth is that they're often not tested. St John's Wort, brazil nuts, turmeric, tea-tree and eucalyptus oils, and vitamin A all can be harmful if taken wrong. We talk to Niki Bezzant, Editor-at-Large of the Healthy Food Guide, about the issue. The Green Party held its annual conference over the weekend. There seems to be some dissention in the ranks, some unhapy the centrist direction the party hsa taken. But the party has delivered an upbeat message about the change they've made with in coalition, and revealed their rent-to-own policy. The panellists discuss the conference and the ideas.
