Old guard being challenged by young blood in local elections

The old guard are being challenged by new blood in both Upper Hutt and Lower Hutt in the upcoming local body elections. Upper Hutt mayor Wayne Guppy is facing a challenge from 38 year-old councillor Steve Taylor and in Lower Hutt 29 year-old councillor Campbell Barry is trying to unseat Mayor Ray Wallace. The former Mayor of Porirua Nick Leggett was just 19 years-old when he was voted onto Council for the first time. He talks about why youth is an asset in local politics.
