Opposition to anniversary of Cpt Cook's arrival

An online petition to stop the replica of Captain James Cook ship the Endeavour coming to our shores for Tuia 250 has garnered nearly 2000 signatures. The re-enactment of Cook's journey is to mark the 250th anniversay of his arrival in Aotearoa. Opponents say the reenactment is the most unnecessary and hurtful part of the whole event.
