Sports injuries surge for younger kids

Sporting injuries for under-14s have surged. Since 2008 Injuries are up 60 percent in this age group, much higher growth than any other age.

ACC believes it could be because young people are specialising at an earlier age in a single sport.

We speak to Alex Chiet, National sport development at Sport NZ, about whether children should be doing high intensity training at such young age.
