The single use plastic ban comes into effect today. The ban will affect everyone from markets and retailers, supermarkets and department stores. The panellists discuss the move and whether they're already using recyclable bags. On a related topic the Government will spend $40 million on crowd-sourcing ideas to reduce the amount of plastic waste. The money will be used in invest in projects that tackle the problem of waste and will come from the Provincial Growth Fund. We speak to Simonne Eldridge Deputy Chair of WasteMINZ about what kidn fo projects the money could go towards.
