The Panel with Leonie Freeman and Michael Moynahan (Part 1)

From The Panel, 4:03 pm on 27 June 2019

The Prime Minister has announced her first major Cabinet reshuffle, focusing on housing. Jacinda Ardern has decided on a trio of ministers led by Megan Woods to take over the portfolio. Kris Faafoi will take on social housing while Phil Twyford keeps Urban Development and picks up Economic Development. A State Services Commission Report has slammed outgoing Secretary Treasury Gabriel Makhlouf's handling of the budget data breach. The report released today says that Mr Makhlouf did not act resonably in his description of the breach. Political pundit Ben Thomas explains what further action, if any, could be taken over the case. It was an often emotional debating session in the house last night as MPs debated the second reading of David Seymour's End of Life Choice Bill. 70 MPs vote in favour of the Bill, while 50 were opposed. The panellists discuss the very personal decision, and whether they agree.
