From The Panel, 4:03 pm on 28 March 2019

There has been a consistent call for social media platforms to instigate changes following the Christchurch Mosque killings and the spread of the vile video. It looks like Facebook is starting to take action. It's decided to extend its ban on hate speech to include the promotion of white nationalism and separatism. Social media and online harassment lawyer Arran Hunt explains how these changes will or won't work. A Muslim group called the Khadija Leadership Network wants a large donation earmarked for the victims of the Christchurch Mosque attacks to be re-directed. $2.1m was pledged by a visiting delegation of Chinese businesspeople, who also happen to be associates of Zhang Yikun, the political donor tangled up in the Jami-Lee Ross incident. The founder of the Khadija Leadership Network Tayyaba Khan explains where she's coming from and where she'd like to see the donation going. Outrage from dog owners in Australia is reverberating across the Tasman to New Zealand, as Bunnings introduces a rule to have all dogs on their premises muzzled. The rule came into affect after a girl was bitten by a dog outside the store. Dog owners across Australia and New Zealand say the rule is over the top.
