From The Panel, 4:05 pm on 27 March 2019

What is your most hated buzzword or phrase? A BBC piece argues that we need to be a bit more chill about corporate language. While many say this type of overused corporate lingo makes smart people sound less intelligent, an internet linguist says we're angry at the symptom, rather than the cause. Basically, it's become a euphemism for all the frustrations we have about work. The panelists tell us if they agree or not. A new study outlines the barriers to preventing rheumatic fever. Institutional Racism, inflexibilty to when and how people get their shots, and the disconnect with youth are all part of the problem. Rheumatic Fever has all but disappeared from developed countries but there are high rates among Maori and Pacific children. Otago University's Professor Michael Baker explains why we need a national register to protect these children. Daylight saving time will end for us in just over a week, but in the EU parliament has voted to scrap the custom all together by 2021. National governments within the European union will have to give their OK, and they have to decide if they want permanent summer or permanent winter time. we talk to former MP Peter Dunne about whether we could do the same here in New Zealand. Egg Boy has spoken out about his attack on Queensland senator Fraser Anning, saying that while he concedes egging the senator his the head was not the right thing to do, it had united people and rasied money for victims. The panelist weigh in on whether they agree with his actions.
