A new study outlines the barriers to preventing rheumatic fever. Institutional Racism, inflexibility to when and how people get their shots, and the disconnect with youth are all part of the problem.

Rheumatic Fever has all but disappeared from developed countries but there are high rates among Maori and Pacific children.

Otago University's Professor Michael Baker explains why we need a national register to protect these children.
