From The Panel, 4:03 pm on 25 March 2019

The Prime Minister has just announced a royal commission of inquiry into the Christchurch mosque shooting. At her post cabinet briefing Jacinda Ardern explained a bit about what the inquiry would look at. Special counsel Robert Mueller's report has finally been given to congress. According to a summary of it, President Trump's campaign did not conspire with Russia during the 2016 election. However, Mueller was unable to figure out if Mr Trump or his aides obstructed justice during the investigation. Law Professor Andrew Geddis discusses where to from here for congress. Following the terror attack in Christchurch, people have focused on the role of weapons in our society. An article in Stuff today looks at Kiwisaver investment funds and states that out of the 254 funds on the market, just 16 are weapons free. An online service will be launching soon called Mindful Money, which can help people invest ethically. Former MP Barry Coates is behind the site and explains why it was created. The accused mosque gunman's manifesto has been deemed objectionable under New Zelaand law. Chief Censor David Shanks urged anyone who had a copy of what he calls "a crude booklet that promotes murder and terrorism" to destroy it. But free speech advocats have called the move an improper use of the censor's powers.
