Warning of measels becoming endemic in NZ

Health experts warn the latest outbreak of measles could once again make the virus endemic, if not enough is done to prevent its spread. There are now 30 cases of measles in the Canterbury region and 49 nationwide. In 2017 New Zealand was free of endemic measles, meanig any news cases were brought in from overseas. Michael Baker of the University of Otago explains how we ended up back in this position and what the answer is to combating the disease.
