As our nation faces questions around who we are in light of the atrocity committed at the two mosques in Christchurch, the New Zealand Parliament demonstrated inclusivity in its session yesterday. The Speaker Trevor Mallard invited an interfaith group of religious leaders on to Parliament's floor. What is the broader message from this gesture? The first funeral for two victims of the mosque shootings took place this morning in Christchurch. Our thoughts are with the family and friends of father and son Khaled and Hamza Mustafa. Some in the Muslim community have been distressed by the delays in the release of the victims bodies, which breaks with the tradition of burial within 24 hours. We discuss the cultural and religious funeral practices in our Panelists' communities. Just what IS The Global UN Migration Compact which has angered the far right across Europe especially, and also the alledged Christchurch mosque gunman. National Party leader Simon Bridges warned last year that his party won't support a UN agreement on immigration. Murdoch Stephens who led a campaign to raise New Zealand's refugee quota explains what the Compact is all about. Australian journalist Rashna Farrukh left the mainstream media after having enough of how muslims were portrayed and hearing the inflammatory rhetoric from the likes of the nationalist One Nation Party.
